Ian
Thought I’d start a whole different type of thread – Here’s the GBU-31 JDAM and GBU-12 LGB from the 1:48 Hasegawa Weapons Set ‘D’. As you all are probably sick of reading – My family and I are moving out to NZ in a few weeks, so modelling is very much a sideshow at the moment. Having said that there are breaks in the chaos every now and then… At the Huddersfield Show the other day, my mate and well known builder of Rufe seaplanes, the Ancient Mariner and I were talking about how he never really spends as much time as he should on the load-out’s for his models. That sparked an idea. I decided that when I do get a break in the above mentioned emigration frenzy I would build/paint some weap’s for future projects. So, whilst the JDAM’s may well end-up on a RAAF Typhoon or not, the LGB’s (eight of them) will definitely adorn a Lakenheath ‘Mudhen’. They have both been sprayed overall Xtracolour US Helo Drab (X153), next I’ll hand-paint the strap-on GPS kit on the JDAM and start spraying the fin and seeker-head units on the LGB’s. Thanks for taking the time to read and/or comment. More soon. Ian Edited February 28, 2012 by Ian
