Meatbox8
BTW, what is the strange radome like this underneath? I'm assuming it's a terrain following radar or targeting device.

Gary West
2 Magnificent Mirage IV's in the same week - fantastic. For anyone that hasn't seen it, the other one os over on ARC.
Meatbox8
As far as I'm aware the Mirage IV was designed as a strategic nuclear strike aircraft and a small number were produced for strategic reconnaissance. The last ones were retired about ten years ago I believe. When the TSR2 was cancelled Dassualt proposed a RR Spey powered version for the RAF which was to utilise some of the electronics from the TSR2 programme. It lost out to the F111 which was also later cancelled. Would make an interesting 'What if', don't you think?.

raif
The Mirage IV has always been my favourite machine from Dassault, I made the 1/72 kit from Heller some years ago but the finish on this 1/48 example is rather beautiful, in fact for me it is modelling perfection! kpc7676
Brilliant job, the detail is amazing. I did one of these a few years back and struggled all the way, so it's good to see someone nail it. Well done.

rafrobbo
Very nice work. I have both the 1/48 & 1/72 kits and I know they certainly don't fall together! Interested in the RATO bottles, are they home made, a latter kit addition or after market??
