Hunter FGA9 triple build - RRAF, Kenyan AF & RAF

Recommended Posts

Well this is going to be an interesting build - I have decided on a triple build, number 1 is the Revell FGA9 to be built using the kit decals as an RAF plane based at Brawdy in the late 1970s, number 2 will be the old airfix FGA9 as a Kenyan AF plane, using the Xtradecal set X72063, number 3 will again be an Airfix FGA9 as a Royal Rhodesian AF plane, during the Federation of Rhodesia & Nyasaland (ie 3 assegai's on the roundal) - No aftermarket as yet, though I am bidding some Aeroclub bang seats. I also have an airwaves etched cockpit, but having struggled with one before I don't think I will use it in this GB

hmmm, I make it 12 days since you started, and you have camo on already, ......

Actually it was only about 7 days from start of the GB - Busy decalling the RAF plane at the moment

Right first plane finished, the other two will be awhile as I need to find stencils for them - I did notice (after painting the model) that the red did not actually cover the whole rear of the fuselage, or at least it did not when the photo I found was taken.

A tremendous effort and a trio to be justly proud of. The Revell Huntetr is one of the nicest kits I've built in 1/72.

Regard
