CarLos
I have too many models started, most good candidates to KUTA IV, this is the one I choose to finish. The Albatros C.VII is a very nice aircraft and the Sierra kit a good one. It has a nice Aeroclub engine and other metal parts but, as usual with most vacs, provides no interior - not even a seat. With two big openings something has to be done. As you can imagine, there are no Part or Eduard sets for this one, but I'll use some bits from other sets. Documentation on the C.VII is very scarce. The Datafile provides no photos of the cockpit, so I'm using drawings in the C.V Datafile as reference for the interior. I'll leave you with some progress photos: As it was two weeks ago: The pilot's seat is located over the fuel deposit, as in many WWI German aircraft. The deposit has a balsa core (easier to cut...) and plastic card "walls". The seat was made in plastic, based in a photoetched one (again I find easier to use plastic). I also made a support for the engine: And some more parts for the interior: Another fuel tank (don´t know yet if it will stay) and a folding bench for the observer: I'll post more photos of the progress...
