This build for SHADO is an unarmed one just for a change, and is primarily a rescue aircraft for rescuing downed SHADO pilots. It is built as a rapid response VTOL aircraft with a fast cruise speed. As with all of my builds this is 1/72nd scale too, see if you can recognise any of the bits involved :)

That came out really well, what was the base kit, and where did you get the canopy from?

Hi and thanks for the comments, the base kit is a Kitech 1/48th scale Arado 234, scalerama'd to 1/72nd scale. The canopy is the kit item, painted in clear orange.
Cheers,
chris.

Looks like there's a bit of Puma in there too. Excellent build.

Shame Gerry Anderson isn't hiring model designers any more - you'd have fitted in really well.

That definitely captures the look, nice job! Have you thought about doing a Dan Dare-style space-ship? That style of canopy would be most apt.
