Here are the photos I took when I initially began this build, but didn't get far as Telford priority builds had to come first.

I bought the kit when HobbyLinkJapan were clearing them for a third of the normal price. I paid quite a bit for it with express postage but still saved about £15 on the UK eBay going rate for them.

I'm a huge Gerry Anderson fan. My particular favourite is UFO. Here are a couple of pictures of my (not quite finished) Bandai Sky1 model which I've read somewhere scales at at between 1/48 and 1/50. For those that don't know, this jet interceptor was actually the front of the Skydiver submarine and used to dramatically blast up out of the ocean when dispatched to intercept a UFO which had made it's way past the Moon defences and into Earth's atmosphere.

Back to Fireflash: here I have cemented the fuselage halves together and it looks like there will be a nasty seam lines to attend to.

Here is a dry fit of one of the rescue vehicles. Here is a clip of them in use:

This build and diorama base shouldn't take too long, and before this GB ends I hope to also have a go at this...

Cheers for now.

Ooohhh... that Fireflash looks nice! Hadn't seen it with the little trucks before!

Good job on the UFO Sky1!

Was never keen on Joe 90 myself - but I'm sure that will be an interesting one, too.

As for the Mayan face mask - an unusual subject, but is it sci-fi? ;)

heh heh heh...
