The Gnat because the old 1/72 kit was the first model I made when I was about 8. I'd love to make a 1/48 version by airfix

The Scimitar because that thing is just awesome, and it's impossible to get hold of the Dynavector kit.

You Guy's have really sharpened your pencils and there are some interesting subject but not too many of you said pretty please! What you now have to do is follow up with an email, letter, fax or postcard to My Airfix/Hornby and give then all the reference sources so they don't get it wrong.

For my crowns worth,pleas My Airfix would be the following:

The whole Wessex helicopter family for Mk1 through to 5 in both 72nd and 48th. I'll even supply the reference.

The Wasp in both of the above scales, inc a SA Navy decal option

A very nice Rotordyne in any scale provided it was 72nd.

A civil Lynx to got with the two new military ones coming in 48th scale.

Bristol Belvedere in both scales to keep the crab helo modelers quiet.

Westland Dragonfly, one that you can put together that looks consigning.

Westland Whirlwind helo family, another one that has to be a winner 72nd and 48th scales.

A totally new Sea King and Commando series, covering all the marks. If you must borrow the Revell moulds as a starting point to make to your own tooling.

A 72nd Viscount Britain's most successful airliner.

The Auster family, in 72nd and 48th.

A Dragon Rapide in 48th sale and a re-release of the Heller kit with some decent up dates.

Supermarine S-6B 72nd and 48th.

SA Puma in 48th scale, all versions, you don't know what you are missing!

One out of the blue a re-release (Kitmaster Ho/OO) new tool of the Bayer-Garret locomotive. British built and served in one form or another all over the world. The model railway guys will freak of a new kit. It's got to be a winner.

Ask the Loto (that's the one that doesn't pay out but hoards the takings!) to provide the lolly for the tooling and get the kids involved as a side line! Ala James May.

Second the Caribou request - I reckon anyone who put out a quality 1/72 DHC-4 and C-123 (and variants) would probably sell a surprising number of them - there are a lot of 'Nam modellers out there!

I was speaking with one of the Airfix guys at Telford with regards the Gnat. I asked if it would ever be "scaled up" to 1/48?. His reply was we'll see what demand is like for this scale and other projects and we scan the forums for that feedback. So put here what you'd like to see and make it easier for them to find in one post!.

Let's add a Lotus Cortina, Mk1 Escort and a decent Capri to that please Mr Airfix. How about a Bentley Speed 6 (that blower achieved very little in racing terms), Alfa 8C, Jag C-Type. All in 1:24th preferrably, but you'll most likely stick to 1:32 to fit in with Scalextric scale.

1:24 airfield support vehicles, which would then give scope to potential conversion for us civvy vehicle builders....

Like Hobbycraft?

Almost impossible to find the Hobbycraft DHC-4 ("Vietnam" boxing) in the UK, and when you do it's £35 or more. Actually, Airfix could just repop that one, retail it at £20ish with some decent decals (US and Aussie) and I'd be happy.

Still need a 1/72 C-123/AC-123 on the market, though...

A modern 1/72 kit of the C-130 in its many variants is needed. The same goes for the DC-3. The Italeri kits of both types are long in the tooth now and though their DC-3 is quite good in outline, the panel lines are awful! These would have international appeal too.

Seconded!! And if they do have to stick to 1/32 they already do a pretty decent Mk1 Lotus & big wing Escort in the scalextric range. They could always release those as kits like they have with the Aston DBR9...

But surely someone, must one day do a state of the art plastic Mk1 Escort in 1/24th scale...

And I'd also like to see all the 1/32 classic cars re-released....

My 2 cents, all in 1/48 because the other scales don't interest me. The first 2 would be definite winners IMHO.

Tornado - as mentioned above it's been a RAF stalwart for years and there isn't a really good kit.

Harrier GR3/FRS 1/FA2 - as above

1/76 vehicles:

Airfix already have a quite decent Light Tank Mk. VI and now a quite nice Cromwell. How about filling the gaps in between? Lots of British tank types (particularly the Cruisers), many of which have never had a kit at all, others are only represented by old and usually inaccurate examples (e.g., the Airfix Crusader). Where's a Matilda I? The existing Universal Carrier kit desperately needs a revamp, and there were many other types of Carrier also. Several marks of Churchills still waiting to be seen. Valentines! One new sprue and the new Cromwell becomes a Centaur. And that's all before we look at the American vehicles in British service -- a bit of intelligent pre-planning and a whole series of Sherman kits can be generated from a shared mould. (That would be a new mould though -- the existing Sherman kit should be retired.)

Then, of course, all those new British vehicle kits will need new German and Italian opponents.

Why do people search for the impossible? I this current climate of economics, kit duplications isn't really viable. HobbyBoss make the Tornado GRs currently, along with the Airfix 1/48th Jaguar these are still good kits perhaps not released for a while but not worth setting up a new tooling.

A 1/48th Gnat is viable as the only one out there is the Aeroclub Version.

Why do we need an updated 1/72 TSR2 with weapons options? These aircraft never flew in Weapons trial or anything. If people want to take a flight of fantasy and add bombs etc then they should seek aftermarket etc.

Airfix/Hornby have pretty much decided what they are going to release for 2012/13 which will probably by updates on current kits ie 1/72 Buccaneers of a years ago ( incidentally Dragon are planning to make this kit.)

So you'll see a cautious set of releases nothing fanciful for the next few years.
