P-51D 1/32

Recommended Posts

After some research I found out that the depicted H 322 never flew with this type of the P-51D. They only flew with an early version. In the box is a late version. So I will build one of the other versions that are included.

I also found out that there is a BigEd set for this beauty. So if my wallet (and the Mrs.) alow it, I will purchase it and use it on this build.

Are you going to fix the panel lines?

What is wrong with the panellines? I like them as they are, but when it is a big error I will consider a corraction.

But I made some pictures of what is inside the box:

The plastic parts:

They are considered to be rather deep. I'm probably gonna keep them as they are, but some sites advice to putty them up.

Nice work on the engine

Just a bit of advice, I don't know if its to late but the engine in the Mustang was a Packard Merlin not a Rolls Royce Merlin so it would not have had the RR name on it

Hope you can, if possible take the PE name of, and maybe touch in the area

That's becouse I'm trying to make a renovated (if that is the correct word) version and not a historical correct one.

On the photo's I have the Rolls Royce plate is often seen on Mustangs. That's why I placed it.

Great idea no one else is doing a restored Modern Warbird this will look cool clean and shiny B)

Where have you been able to source the small RR decals on the side cowling or are you having them made, also don,t forget to change out the props to cuff-less type
