The photo is in "War Prizes," by Phil Butler, page 147. That Zero was BI-05; BI-12 was supposed to go to Australia, but there's no trace of it having arrived, according to the book. Never heard of any decals.

Hello Neil,

Hasegawa did a boxing of their original 1/48 Zero (raised panel lines) in the early 90's. I have one in the loft but I'm afraid I want to keep it! It includes decals for the pictured captured RAF a/c and also a US versions. I can send you a scan of decal sheet +instructions if you like ?

Hasegawa did a release of their 1/48th A6M5 kit in these markings called 'Stange Markings'

Although not the kit, you can see the decals here:

:huh::huh:

ATAIU had at least three A6Ms- the second in the Photo is an A6M2 (Type 21 iirc, but that's working from memory)
