AnonymousDFB1
looking good Mish, will you be festooning the lav with kit? That is the idea Pete, I'm going to have to make most of it any ideas? The tarp idea worked well on the Chieftain. Something like these is what I would like:
AnonymousDFB1
Spent a couple of hours today putting all the brackets, and little fiddly bits on the hull and turret. Then I gave it another dusting of desert beige. Tomorrow I will put the lights, door, hatches, antennas, and the like on. I also need to spray some inverted 'V' desert storm recognition symbols on and fabricate some unit markings.
AnonymousDFB1
Had a bit of a restless night, and come up with several ideas for stowage, all scratch built, if they work she will end up looking something like his one and I know how to make that wooden box, Strange what you think about when you can't sleep. AnonymousDFB1
Whilst waiting for things to dry on the LAV I thought I'd tackle the 'box' I dreamed up last night. First I start with some of these: Coffee stirrers from Macy D's Then I cut them to length. Then I started building the box And voilà one box I then started making the stowage I've mocked up all the stowage on the LAV Tomorrow I have some finishing off to do, weathering, antennas and final positioning of the stowage. Stebos
What did you use for those aerials Mish? I don't like stretching sprue and the nearest thing I could find was a folded out paperclip but they're impossible to get straight.
AnonymousDFB1
it's streatched sprue. I try to use cats whiskers! But my cat hadn't dropped any and objected to me pulling any out
dahut
It looks stunning. I had one of those back when it was released under the ESCI label. I also had the LAV Hammerhead variant - both imposing boxes full of plastic. I sold mine on ebay like a doofus. Glad to see yours.
