Jon Kunac-Tabinor
Hi Guys, I thought this might be of intest as I see Rowans top-notch Tempest below. Now this all started when Rowan posted on HS about the inherent problems with Eduard 1/48th scale Tempest. I was about to start my one - so it seemed natural to follow Mr B down his path of kit-cutting craziness I elected not to lengthen the rear fuselage, but did thin the fin and address the Typhoon like wing thickness using a method much the same as Rowan - except i thing Rowans method of addressing the wing fillet worked betterer than mine The MDC conversion still fit very well to the now thinner wings, and the other bits went on OK too - apart from the spinner backplate which was far to big and needing re-profiling. Anyhow - heres what I ended up with. Its been seen before on HS - so apols to anyone who's seen her before. One last thing the chin radiator exhaust flap is now added - its not some bizarre mid eastern cooling mod - just a lazy modeller !! And heres the gang... Please fell free to comment in way you feel appropriate. regards Jonathan
