upnorth
I guess this is a slight rant on my part. I've never built much WWI, but I absolutely love the Sopwith Triplane and wonder why we never got more in injection kits if it than the old Revell 1/72 one, respectable though long in the tooth it is. Roden and Eduard have been giving the WWI end of the hobby attention that it has been lacking for so long and yet have not given the Tripehound its due and I can't understand why not. Its service life was short, but what a service life it was! It could mulch and fly circles around anything the Germans could send at it and there would have been no Fokker Dr.1 without the Tripehound to inspire it. I made my feelings known with a post on Roden's guestbook page so hopefully they'll think about it. I'd just love to see a new tooled 1/72 kit of it or a 1/48. O.K. I'll stop venting, I just had to get it out and hope folks understand.
Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Eduard did a 1/48 kit: http://modelingmadness.com/reviews/w1/tc/cleavertripe.htm I've often thought they should have done it in 1/72 too.

Oh, thanks, I had no idea about that one. Is it still in production or OOP?
Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Oh, thanks, I had no idea about that one. Is it still in production or OOP? It appears to be OOP, Hannants have none listed. Kingkit (second hand kit dealer) have 3 versions listed, but they are UK based, not sure how useful that may be to you: http://www.kingkit.co.uk/kingkit/1_catalogue_freeview.php
