copey
Hello Peeps, My latest project is the Acad Bombcat, It will be a VF-24 Renedages bird using Fightertown decals. Well on to the build,There are gaps all around the pit I sorted them with plasticard Primed and started some of the detail painting The front wheel well detail was it bit soft so I sanded it back and added my own It's not accurate, just makes it more intresting, Any way that's all for now,Thanks for looking. Oliver
Lovely work on the pit, so far, those IP's look brilliant. Please don't paint up the bang seats, or at least tell me you haven't yet! Don't want to see you put the effort in when they aren't needed. VF-24 only flew the F-14A and F-14B so the bang seat for those would be the same GRU-7's, the F-14D is the one with the NACES seat. I believe the Fightertown decals are for F-14A's (please correct me if i'm wrong) therefore you need the GRU-7 seat. Also no LGB's or JDAM's or LANTIRN pods, only dumb bombs and missiles for VF-24. The guy to contact about any real information about VF-24 , is actually the Fightertown decals guy, Brian Plescia, his e-mail is on their website, as he actually served with VF-24 i believe. He also posts over on ARC.

Easy mate, I.m not using the seats(keeping them for my D) Decided to put the driver in for a change,Plus mine will have Lantirn Lgbs' and the like, I'm not trying to build a historically accurate plane,I want a Tomcat with a heavy load in the decals that I bought. Mark C'mon!...C'mon!...hurry up!...I wanna see MORE, GOD DAMMIT!!!... I want to do more, But work keeps getting in my way . Mark
Oliver
Sorry mate, didn't mean to sound arsey. Everytime i see a tomcat being built i automatically think the person building it wants it to be exactly like the one the markings they are using is like. And as Zeke says please keep the piccies coming, who needs work...

Rabspat
Mark just a Heads up but F-14A/B's used GRU-7A seats while F-14D's used NACES seats. So for a bombcat you have the wrong ones. HTH
