Seahawk
Last weekend, on a whim, I bought the Hasegawa 1/72 P1Y1 Ginga (Frances). It's a typical nice clean Hasegawa product. Anyway, I was all set to add some standard Eduard JNAF seatbelts when I found a reference in the Monogram Japanese cockpit interiors book to the pilot's seat only having provision for a single shoulder strap lying across the left shoulder. This conjures up for me the image of something looking like a Sam Browne belt. Do we have any experts out there who can shed any more details on that? Was a single shoulder strap normal on late war JNAF aircraft? Would the other seats have had should straps at all? Are there any other good references out there? Thanks in advance. [sorry to anyone who's seen this before: I originally misposted it on Books and Magazines.] Nick
