smuts
hi anyone know if the Boeing P26 Peashooter was fitted with just lap belts, or both lap & shoulder harnesses. Thanks Andy.
Jon Kunac-Tabinor
Hi Andy - looking at the instructions for the eduard etch set for the HC model - it has lap belts only. http://www.eduard.cz/products/pdf/n48/48265_1.pdf HTH Jonners

TCinLA
As a general rule, USAAC aircraft didn't get shoulder harness until summer 1941, while USN didn't get shoulder harnesses until after Coral Sea/before Midway, i.e., late May 1942 - I was told by the late Dick Best that the factory-new SBD-3s VB-6 re-equipped with on their return from the Doolittle Raid in early May 1942 had seatblets and shoulder harnesses. If you're doing a combat USN a/c up through Coral Sea, no shoulder harnesses (if they were arriving they were with units not on the carriers).
