RAAF PBY-4 WIP

Hi guys attached are some WIP pictures of my PBY-4 Catalina which is nearly at the painting stage. It is mostly OOB except I have moved the gun hatches forward a scale 2 & half feet as Academy when producing the mould assumed the guns were in the same place as the later-5 Catalina's. A casual glance at early Cats shows otherwise.

She will be finished in RAAF markings wearing the somewhat controversial Dark Ocean Blue/ Dark Sea Grey/ Black scheme. Some would say that DOB did not exist, I beg to differ!

The wing isn't stuck on yet as a Catalina is far easier to paint with the wing separate.

That's coming along nicely Nick , what are you doing for decals, is there a sheet out there for this scheme?

All decals from the spares box, not to difficult big MSG 'C' for the tail code grey serial & the roundels & fin flash.
