silverkite211
Got a small problem, well two I have this four bladed thing and I don't know where it goes and I can't find the jetpipe! You know, jet engines have blades too, they're just inside, instead of stuck on the front. Actually, in effect a turboprop is a jet engine with a propellor attached to the impeller shaft. AnonymousDFB1
A bit done today with the limit number of acrylic available to me. The cockpit is done with the exception of the gunsight and the pilot. Sorry about the poor photos, took them with no contact lenses in More when I get the paints

Smiffy
Nice work there Mish. The pit and pilot look great. I've had one of these in an unfinished state for......well, years. Gonna keep an eye on this thread. Maybe, it'll inspire to get off me bottom and finish mine.

AnonymousDFB1
A fair amount done today. First off the engine. And installed on the plane. Undercarriage bays started. Wings assembled. And on the plane, now she's looking like a real plane. Right that's all now for a couple of days. Got a road trip south to do.

mikeew
Nice work Mish .................and fast too!! This'll be good, after all its a USN machine in gull grey and white. Doesn't get much better for a sucker for a USN bird that I am. Hope you get the acrylics sorted. If you are going to airbrush, I would reccomend the Gunze aqueous hobby colours for the Gull Grey - simply sublime.
AnonymousDFB1
Was planning on using Tamiya paints if I can get them.
mikeew
TBH Mish, Tamiya handle as well as Gunze, just they have not such a good range of colours, eg Gunze do H315 Gull Grey which is spot on for USN stuff. Tamiya do spray beautifully though.

AnonymousDFB1
Right finally we reach the point of painting. So this afternoon I masked up the beast and spayed her top surface the nearest I could get to gull grey. I was going to leave the speed brakes open but have decided not to. Just the one pic this time as there isn't a lot to see.

AnonymousDFB1
Right her bottom was spayed today! That got your interest didn't it? I wouldn't say I was paranoid about overspray! But it did take me close to two hours to mask her.
