Lúcio
Hi! Just got a Czechmasters Junkers J-1 resin kit. Looks superb. Any opinions on this kit? Accuracy? Any surgery needed? I´m more into WWII subjects and have very little info on WWI subjects. Cheers, Lucio
blimp
Hi!Just got a Czechmasters Junkers J-1 resin kit. Looks superb. Any opinions on this kit? Accuracy? Any surgery needed? I´m more into WWII subjects and have very little info on WWI subjects. Cheers, Lucio welcome to britmodeller ! - the cmk j1 is a lovely kit , although as with most resins the struts should be replaced , there is a lot of weight in the wings so the u/c at least needs replacing with some ' strutz ' type material or similar . a wing jig is highly recommended for the wing struts as they are quite complex . i started mine just as eduard released one in injected , so it went back into the stash but it wil resurface again now i have some spare decals from the plastic version ! enjoy it , - the canadian museum has an original airframe that is worth a look at , also the windsock profile is a good source of information , so are http://www.wwi-models.org/ World War I Modeling Page and http://www.earlyaviator.com/archive1.htm Rosebud's WWI and Early Aviation Image Archive http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/index.php The Aerodrome Forum . happy modelling !
