As far as I can recall the French built a single prototype of the Jag M to test for their carrier fleet but that was as far as it got. Not sure why the project got shelved :(

The Jaguar M (for maritime) was intended to be used by the Aeronavale as its primary strike fighter aboard Clemenceau & Foch, not 100% sure of the history of it all, but essentially the Jaguar was a Breguet design and although Breguet had merged with Dassault in the late 60's, Dassault never really pushed Jaguar as one of its products.

Dassault always seemed to offer its own design in competition, hence it was no surprise to find that Jaguar M was dropped and the Aeronavale got Super Etendards instead, likewise every export order won by Sepecat was British Aerospace led, often in the face of stiff competition from Dassault with the Mirage family.

If Britain hadn't been in the process of running down our carrier fleet, we might have have seen the FAA flying Jaguars too, now thats a nice bit of "whatiffery", imagine Ark Royal with a mixed strike force of Buccs and Jags probably with a minimum number of Phantoms for fleet defence.
