tigger
Well the title says it all really. I am waiting the arrival of one of the kits and want to do the AEW3 for my own collection, I will no doubt have to scratch build the modifications but once done I would suspect that I could sell the conversion. My Idea is to Vac form the nose and tail radar domes and any other small bits to be cast in resin. All I am doing here is trying to gauge interest to see if it is viable to go the extra mile and make the parts available? What do you guys think? Please don't waste time sabotaging the thread with snide comments about how good or bad the real aircraft was all I want is feedback on the idea? Gary West
Great idea John - I'd show interest although not for the Nimrod. I'd love to build the Comet AEW 3 development a/c so if there's a 1/72 Comet out there in Vac form, count me in.
Obi-Jiff Kenobi
I'd certainly be interested, John. Gary, there's a vacform 1/72 Comet I from Welshmodels, but I'm not aware of any others.
Dave Fleming
There was a 1/72 Comet 4 vac available years ago from Airways, and another (or the same one!) from Aircraft in Minature. I'd prefer 1/144th, but I have heard an interest expressed in 1/72 from a few people. Edited February 26, 2008 by Dave Fleming
richellis
Sorry but is this a kit to convert the airfix nimrod, not a complete kit. Thats ho I read the first post but then got confused! If its just the conversion then count me in for one!

Howard of Effingham
i'd like a AEW Nimrod conversion please! and some WM undercart legs too. it would probably be best as a vacform i reckon. a resin rear radome could create some tailsitting problems. trevor
