More bad F-15 news

F15 Crash

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - Two Air Force F-15C Eagles were reported missing today at approximately 2 p.m. CST in the Gulf of Mexico.

The two aircraft were assigned to the 33d Fighter Wing. At the time of the accident, they were on a training sortie.

Active search and rescue efforts are underway.

A board of officers will investigate the accident.

Additional details will be provided as soon as they become available.

I just hope that it is not again of fatique as the Missouri and the fleet getting out of service. Worst is that this time one pilot died of the accident.

Well the news article says it was a mid air collision, so that'd suggest it's not related to fatigue of the aircraft.

Sad news anyhow, RIP.
