Here are a few photos of my Airfix Swift FR5 (centre) with the Xtrakit (right) and ancient Rareplane (left) versions for comparison. The Airfix kit went together well apart from me getting the cockpit tub too low in the fuselage. It is from the box apart from the aerials, which are bristles after a tip on this site - much less fragile than the stretched sprue I used on the Xtrakit. The shape looks by far the best of the three, with the Xtrakit having a short nose and too high a canopy. The Rareplane has a huge nosewheel. From photos, this may have been modeled on the F7 which seems to have a much bigger nosewheel than earlier marks. The head-on shot shows the differences in the sit of the three models (as well as my not-quite-square landing gear!). The Airfix kit sits lower than the other two, and the Rareplane sits tail up. Well done Airfix!
