  2. 1:32 scale HoverBike concept kit

FULL BLOG POST HERE - http://www.wildhousemodels.com/2015/05/new-jetbike-kit-design/ Some exciting new to share today on a kit being created by Mati Zander, our new CAD Modeller. Mati has been working on a Hover Bike concept for Hostile Realms™ and the kit will come in 2 different varieties – Military version or Civilian hoverbike. Mati, our new artist and 3D Sculptor from Germany has been working with the Hostile Realms™ concept for the past 3 weeks and this will be his first model. Mati initially work on some design concepts and illustrations of various shapes and forms for the Hover Bike. These pen and ink drawings were quick sketches to get an idea of what a flying bike would look like, based on technological advancements in the next 100 years. Here are some of his initial ideas below…
  3. Our full blog post - http://www.wildhousemodels.com/2015/04/mining-ship-the-intrepid-star-3d-renders/ A lot of focus has been on the new Warship by Rick Sternbach but we have another new spaceship in the development phase – the mining vessel, the Intrepid Star. This long range deep space vessel is primarily used for the transport of mining ore from the outer planets. Woody Stables, our resident illustrator has been working on new 3D renders of the ship for 3D printing. Woody’s initial sketches and those more detailed illustrations in the animated short gave a distinct style and shape to the vessel and he has carried this through to the new 3D Renders. Woody will finalise these in the next few days and we will then prepare the renders for 3D Printing. Until then, here are a few new updates and renders for you to review for this kit from Hostile Realms™ coming in 2015.

  6. MEC Medical Console Kit - 1:24 scale

http://www.wildhousemodels.com/medical-bay-console/ An advanced equipment and monitoring tool for doctors and medical personnel, the MEC Medical Console unit is capable of monitoring 10 different Stasis Pods at once from a central control console. With 3 dynamic touch-screen interface screens that can be adjusted by several pre-defined control options, the interface allows doctors and nurses to maintain the stasis environments of many different personnel independently. Powered independently from the main Stasis Pods to ensure failsafe procedures and redundancy are provided should main power go offline. Medical data can be transferred to a portable tablet device if required for mobile monitoring, and provides a way of automatically adjusting the medication or Stasis Pod operations.
  7. Exclusive review of the designs from Rick Sternbach in this video from Wild House Models. 8. It was a hard choice deciding what to build for this one as I wanted something nice and simple....for a change. This was just such a cool model I knew I had to build it as soon as I found it, just wish it was 1/48th, but at least it is resin! This model was originally meant suppose to be the Caprica Air Force fighter jet but due to changes in the show, it was only ever seen as a virtual world fighter! This is a nice simple model so hopefully I can get it out of the way fairly quickly, it will be a straight from the box build. The resin moulding is very nice so it shouldn’t take a lot of work to clean up. I can’t wait to start this one, it should be lots of fun. Here are some shots of the Viper from the artist who created it website. http://www.pierre-drolet-sci-fi-museum.com/viper-air-force

  10. http://www.wildhousemodels.com/lore/ THE LORE OF HOSTILE REALMS™ In that portentous year of 2054, Earth was visited by chance, by an alien race, soon to be known by the name Flexani. This unprecedented event in human history forever changed the way that mankind viewed the universe. Interstellar travel, once an unattainable dream, was transformed almost overnight, into an opportunity to indulge that most driving of human traits, exploration and exploitation of the unknown. The First Contact with the Flexani and the following initial inter-species relationships, despite intial human fears, based in no small measure upon the influence of Hollywood, were positive as the Flexani expertise in medical techniques became apparent and were shared freely across the globe. As we all now know, cancer, AIDs and even the common cold were banished to the history books. The Flexani The Flexani The Flexani are a hyper-evolved race that long ago became dependent upon nano-technology, their organic bodies withering into almost useless skinny husks, with vestigal strength. They conquered however, the huge challenge of developing the advanced technology that enabled them to integrate their increasingly puny bodies with the now famous exotic material exoskeleton systems. These systems are apparently attached surgically to the Flexani offspring at birth, enabling them to physically move and interact with their environments. Their exoskeletons not only grow with the wearer, but also perform the task of multi-environmental suits, equally as effective in human nitrogen-oxygen atmospheres and toxic environments as they are in the vacuum of space. The systems are removed easily, and the design seems to vary, depending on the role in which they are used. When the Flexani first arrived on Earth, they gave mankind the hand up necessary that enabled us to achieve interstellar space flight and advance our technologies by centuries in just a few decades. Their intention was to work with the populace of Earth to create an ally but, not for the first time, the rapid advancement of our capabilities and abilities, combined with our “inventive” use of the peaceful Flexani technology, caused tensions in the relationship. At this time, factions of Flexani caste saw the human race as too much of a threat to their existence and it is reported that they allegedly sabotaged the diplomatic proceedings, thus causing deterioration in the Human-Flaxani “special relationship”. Rumours abounded at this time that dissident factions on the Human side did little or nothing to prevent this deterioration and in fact actively encouraged it. The Flexanis fled Earth leaving behind just a few of their kind, still sympathetic to the idea of friendship. The inevitable result was the rapid onset of distrust on both sides and the decline into mankind’s first interstellar Cold War. The Dall The Dall alien race On the edge of a Neutral Zone, mutually created between Human and Flexani space, resides the Sol-like star XT-67, perhaps better known on Earth as Heimdallr, or in old human Norse language, the ‘World-Brightener’. Around this otherwise unremarkable star orbits an M-Class planet, the old Norse name of which translates as “The heavenly dwelling of the Norse gods (the Aesir) and slain war heroes”. In modern language, Asgard, a planetary name soon to become infamous. The MECS70-B Stasis Pod The MEC S70-B Stasis PodIn 2078, the Moneta Engineering Consortium of Earth, with the benefit of the then readily available Flexani medical expertise, developed the first commercial Stasis Pod for crew hibernation and over the next 17 years, perfected the design and functionality of the unit for use on commercial starships. By 2095, the latest bio-pod model was used extensively by most of the main starship operators for deep space incursions. Special Military versions manufactured under contract and strictly controlled, were used for long range vessels patrolling the border with Flexani space and could be adapted if required for Flexani anatomy. The MEC S70-B Stasis Pod model was typically used for healthy participants in deep space travel and was the standard model of choice in most starships, whereas the MEC S70-Hx Stasis Pod model, with advanced medical monitoring equipment and attendant MEC trained doctor, was used to preserve the life of critically-injured or terminally-ill patients, until such time that their conditions could be stabilized in a fully-equipped medical facility. Both models of the Stasis Pod units suspend all cellular activity and disease processes, keeping the patient from succumbing to their illness or injury for an indefinite period. In 2092, a law was passed to ensure that Stasis units became standard equipment on human deep space starship vessels, but was considered optional for short range ships within the Asteroid Belt and near Sol activities. The MEC S70-B Stasis Pod typically consumes 0.9 MW of power and is equipped with a fuel cell that provides up to 56 hours of backup power before terminal life support failure. The S70-Hx however, with its advanced features does have greater power consumption and is hence only fitted to advanced Carrier vessels with the permanent medical staff to support its use and maintenance. Backup power on the S70-Hx is rated to 170 hours before terminal failure of the life support systems. The MEC Medical Bay Console Moneta Engineering Consortium of Earth has developed this advanced equipment and monitoring tool for doctors and medical personnel. The MEC Medical Console unit is capable of monitoring 10 different Stasis Pods at once from a central control console and is a boon for deep space incursions and missions.

  13. HI Everyone, Following the deletion of the Starship Enterprise STGB thread, I am opening up this new thread with a difference. Rather than just being a Starship Enterprise or Star Trek group build, I am opening this group build as a Full SciFi group build. You can build anything within the realm of SciFi - Star Trek, Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, absolutely anything. as long as its SciFi. Please post your interest in this thread. We need 30 members to make this Group Build happen. Cheers, Rick
  14. I am new to Britmodeller and I am hoping to get constructive criticism on the kits I have built and painted so far. I need to work out how to post the pictures on here but I have been doing this for about a year and a half and I enjoy it very much. I lost my son in an accident almost two years ago and I fell into this hobby as a means of distraction, little did I know how much it would take hold of me. So,please be honest and constructive. I am hoping to improve my skills and maybe one day enter competitions. Thank you
