  1. Manufacturer: Monogram. Aftermarket: None used. Paints: Tamiya, Molotow Liquid Chrome, 2K clear, Mr Color Surfacer 1500 black. Weathering: Starship Filth Oils. Link to build thread: Hi all, the Chevy Z28 is all done, I did find this old kit a bit of a challenge to put together in a few places. The build instructions are more like a comic than anything with useful details. I mistakenly fitted the decals on the rear boot spoiler forward facing instead of rear facing; I used PVA glue to mount the spoiler and the front nose valance to avoid any weld action glue damaging the paintwork. I added some adhesive backed foil to trim up the door edges and bonnet, this was painted over with Molotow chrome paint. It was extra work I could have done without, but it did add a touch of bling to the paint scheme. Overall, for a kit of its age I am happy with how it turned out. Thank you looking in on this build everyone and happy modelling.
  2. Hi everyone, this boxing dates back to 1980; however the car is a 79 vintage I believe. Monogram put some great details into this kit, I will be painting the bodywork gloss black, but the interior will be a two-tone grey colour, should be a blast to build.
  3. Although I haven't finished the Fiat 500 yet I thought I'd throw another kit into the mix before the Mustang STGB begins. This one cost me £9.94 including postage back in 2012 and is a re release of a kit originally released in the early 70's as part of the 'Deal's Wheels' range. 4. hi everyone !😄 this is my REVELL 1/25 '69 camaro,an very nice kit and easy to build!! hope you guys like it!!🙂 and here is the video build if you are interested..🙂
  5. So i recently got this for a bargain price and was really pleased with the kit. This is revells Camaro Z28 RS. The kit has 8 sprues which also include one chrome, clear and a transparent red sprue for the tail lights. The parts do look very clean but we will see how it all goes together. I will begin with the engine and also scratchbuild some details. As for colour i am thinking of going all black and making this a real mean muscle car. Work has begun and photos will be uploaded shortly.
  6. Finnished my Camaro this morning! Nice Revell kit to build, everything but the side windows fit good. Colour is Zero Paints Audi Phantom Black. Thanks for watching! Mike
  7. Time for the next model! Started with sandingdown the mould lines. And used the body kit that came with the kit, also with the wheels I want to use. 20" BBS LM$ This one I started a few months ago, when it was still a bit to cold to paint... It was cold and I used a bit to heavy layers. So I put it back in the box until now. Went over all the parts looking for cracks in the primer. And sanded away all the damaged primer. After a new coat of primer I sanded that smooth. The colour of the Camaro will be Audi Phantom Black, same as my Mustang GT. Right now all the parts had their first colour coat. Thanks for watching! Mike
  8. Could do with a little tidying up and panel lines doing. I'm still pleased with the outcome though.
  9. HI everyone, This was supposed to be a quick build that ended up taking over a year to complete. When it finally dawned on me that I have more stalled projects than completed models, I decided to set things straight and finish what I had started so I could roll these two beauties off the assembly line (read- cutting mat). The kits are fantastic – full marks to Revell for fit, accuracy and mold quality. Both models go together without any craziness or drama. There is sufficient detail to allow for a reasonably good looking model without the use of PE or having to scratch-build your own parts. I chose the box-top schemes (Performance white with blue stripes for the Mustang and Rally Yellow with black stripes for the Camaro) because they are very attractive as they are – didn’t feel the need to go the custom route and modify the cars or go for outrageous paint schemes. Overall, I’m very pleased to have these two solid muscle cars sitting side by side on the shelf. The only thing that annoys me is the scale compared to the rest of my collection – why are American cars in 1/25 scale anyway, when most kits use 1/24 as the standard? Is it because the 50’s and 60’s American cars were much larger and model car manufacturers needed to somehow reduce the size? Anyway, here are the pics!
