Hi folks, It's 2018 here in New Zealand, so this is coming in at the metaphorical eleventh hour, but here are my finished things from 2017. Not a terrible year but a bit short on variety in places (I didn't manage any aircraft or armour for the first time in ages!) I started with this Cosmo Zero, the Cosmo Falcon is still in a mix of primer and basecoats which is a little embarrassing... Bandai 1/72 kit from Space Battleship Yamato 2199. Also Bandai is this tiny box-scale (1/8000?) kit of the Elysion carrier from the most recent Macross series: I started building and painting some of the nifty scenery from Games Workshop's Shadow War set: As well as one of the (fairly old) Orks as a test model. I started the rest of the squad but the access behind weapons etc. was really hard and I got a bit fed up with them, so they're not done yet... I also finished this Juggernaught of Khorne, although I haven't done the rider yet so it's a bit dodgy sneaking it in here... The base is temp too. Maybe my favourite model of the year is Bemular - he's sculpted from Super Sculpey and hot glue as a slightly overdone base for Bandai's Science Patrol VTOL. That was almost it for "proper" models as I got really into painting the new Death Guard models from Games Workshop. So far I've done a couple of plague marines and almost a squad of Poxwalker zombies. I'm too slow to paint armies really... They make a fun photography project though: Another Bandai diversion was the TIE Striker from Rogue One, I've made some of the other bits too but they aren't all done yet. although the hover-or-not tanks are pretty cool: The last things I finished in 2017 were the Stormcast Eternals from Shadespire - they took just a week to paint and are quite satisfyingly chunky models. On the almost-finished pile is this Zoid kit from Kotobukiya, which needs a pilot painting and a few scenic bits on top of the rock, but is otherwise done. I'm currently trying to finish off a super-secret project, more news soon, and I've picked up the Sandworm to do a bit more on over the holidays. Have a great 2018! Cheers and thanks for looking, Will
