Hello everyone, I have finally finished the P-47, my Hurricanes I can not finish as I left the paint at my parents... bloody typically! So here is the entry for this GB. I am not 100% sure if this colour scheme is the right one for the time frame. I will have to look into this one more, or if anyone else knows? I think it might be... Considering how old this kit is, I remember building this kit as a nipper in the 90's. The moulds are not that bad. Hopefully here you can see the classic Alpha Jet "banana tail" that will need dealing with at some point. All I can see for weapons is the gun pod and two fuel tanks. I will have to dig up some bombs from somewhere, hopefully I can find some cluster bombs. Do I get bonus points for having the decals printed in West Germany? While the cockpit isn't that bad, I'm looking at you Dragon/DML kits, it isn't the best either. So with that in mind I will be using the below to help. Good old RetroWings kits, this one might actually be the smallest one I have used yet. We shall see if it gives me any issues, I highly doubt it would, I have never had any issues. Might try to lift the canopy like in the picture. The solution to the banana tail effect. So I have got to cut the tail up... yay! Hopefully starting this one soon, the resin is drying now after a good wash. Kind Regards, Dazz

I plan (hope) to be able to build a Hawker Hunter T.8 trainer in RN markings by utilising a Revell 1:144 Hunter FGA.9 kit and a RetroWings 1:144 Hunter T.7 conversion set. The conversion set is (fortunately for me) a one-piece resin fuselage, with additional parts comprising of two ejection seats, one joystick (the other coming from the kit) and a vacform canopy. I haven't decided on the colours, markings or squadron for the finished model but I can decide that at a later date. cheers Mike

F/A-18B RAAF, 1:144 Revell + resin - update 21-11
Neal posted a topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
This was my entry to the Hornet STGB; Revell 1:144 F/A-18D, backdated to a 'B and modified to represent the hornets of the RAAF, specifically A21-106 as shown here http://www.adf-gallery.com.au/gallery/Hornet-A21-106/DN_3A21_106 The build stalled waiting for the retrowings resin cockpit. It'll be parked up covers over the intake and exhaust with the wings folded and the canopy open. I've the retrowings resin control surfaces along with the ozmods resin fuel tanks. The retrowings cockpit arrived a couple of weeks ago; my Tomcat for the USN GB is finished and the nights are drawing in so I thinks its time to dust this one off as the winter project. -

The decals are APLS prints which I've never had to deal with before. The RAAF roundels look really crisp but the blue flashes aren't all that great, but we'll see how we go. I've also the retrowings resin control surfaces and cockpit set along with the ozmods resin fuel tanks and bomb carriers on order. I think it'll be parked up covers over the intake and exhaust with the wings folded and the canopy open.
