Hello All, I have been building a Breda 65 from RCR, build thread here. This is a short run kit, with the usual mix of resin, PE, white metal and, yes, plastic, with instructions that show parts magically coming together to be glued in mid-air next to other parts. Oh, and decals that shatter on contact with water. Actually, it wasn't that bad, although a certain amount of "fun" was had to make it all join up. Here we go: Thanks for looking, Adrian

Hello All, I have always had a soft spot for the Breda 65 and I managed to snag the RCR kit on Ebay recently. I'm starting this build in a hotel in Holland where I am installing my daughter into accommodation at the start of her university course. I am now quite familiar with the driving directions to IKEA in, coincidentally, Breda (NL). The box: The parts, including plastic, resin, white metal, PE and steel tube for the gun barrels: The surface detail is very fine with quite a lot of thick flash and some interesting sprue gates. I thought I'd start with the wings for a change, and so I cleaned up the separate flaps to fit. There is some PE to put in the undercarriage compartment but I'm going to leave all that to when I install the undercarriage. The aileron hinges will need a touch more scoring to differentiate them from the regular panel lines: The wings and the body fit very well when cleaned up and the trailing edges are commendably thin: I am going to build the interior detail (provided in PE but I may substitute plastic scraps instead) separately and insert it from underneath. The cowling comes in three sections which are pretty nice once the huge sprue gates are cleaned off: The cowl actually fits together very well. I wanted to start with a nice round cowling and I will fettle the engine to fit: So far I'm very impressed with the kit. Thanks for looking, Adrian
