Good morning everybody... I started this build quite a while back now. I was given an AZ Martin-Baker MB.5 Sea-Baker kit. I wasn't thrilled by the Whif schemes that AZ issued with the kit so decided to do one of my own. I opted to go with a Reno Racer based on the MB.5. I theorized that the RAF purchased a small amount of these to replace the N.A. Mustang Mk.IV’s post war until jets were good enough to do the same roles. One of the Squadrons to operate these was #74 Squadron. Lets jump forward to modern times and a well to do gentleman decided he would restore and modify one to race spec. In the end opting to go with a Tiger motif to honor the planes time in service with 74 Squadron, so I give you my Tiger. Please feel free to ask questions, post comments, and or add thoughts. I will add a link to the WIPin case someone would like to take a look. A song to go along with the build. https://youtu.be/VCAw6s1rV-A Dennis

Hello everyone... Im not at a loss for builds right now with five on the go. Crazy me 🤪... Ive gone and decided to add a couple of new ones. The Second one will be the AZ Martin-Baker MB.5 kit. This is the one I have, It will get started in the next day or two. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/az-model-az7561-martin-baker-mb5--1025130 I like the kits options but not sure if I’m going to use them ? I may save the decals for Seafires as Whif’s. Im kind of angling for something left field. Waaaaay Left field like a Reno style racer. Something along the lines of these. “Miss foxy Lady”, https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b3/cd/a9/b3cda9ccde8fa59985d05565de9c9d10.jpg “Precious metal”, https://www.google.com/amp/s/warbirdwatcher.com/2015/09/14/help-rebuild-precious-metal/amp/ “Hi-Time II”, https://i.pinimg.com/originals/0e/51/15/0e5115e3e5a5761c624644b7ba3ce526.jpg or “Habu” http://www.mustangsmustangs.net/p-51/survivors/serial/44-73196 Im thinking polished metal, or fancy scheme and I like the idea of doing this. Questions, comments, and or thoughts ? Dennis

With the just-released AZ Models 1/72 kit, I was searching for references and found the one I have posted a link to below. Lots of great photos and diagrams that should help anybody waning to build the kit. You can also find photos and text on the Martin-Baker website, which has the MB-1 through MB-5 as well as text and photos of their bang seats- it's a great modeling reference site for those of you that don't already have it bookmarked. Enjoy!
