Managed to finish another kit for this year in a very quick (for me) over 5 days (actual time spent at work bench was 4 hrs 28mins) from start to finish, Airfix's Hawker Hurricane Mk1 starter kit built OOB less Kora's decals for an aircraft captured by the Italians and used as a training tool for pilots to fly against before going against the RAF around the Med. The Italians reportedly captured 3-6 mk1's and repainted them in several differing schemes including one that was presented to Mussolini. The Airfix Hurricane kit was a £5 special from Aldi and the decals I ordered direct from Kora for 8.95 euro's and I think the result is worth the minimal cost. Camo was free handed with paint being a mix of Tamiya and Mr Hobby Colour acrylics with a wash of Flory Dark Dirt (first time I've used this) and some weathering with powders. As usual all comment welcome.

This'll be fun. The Kora decal set comes with some resin aftermarket parts that I will not be using. The build will be OOB except for the decals and some scratch bits I may (or may not!) add. Obviously this will be a 500V, not a 501... That's it! What beautiful box-art! Sprue, etc... KORA aftermarket stuff... What number I choose...I have no idea yet. Ask me next week. --John

Click on the links to view my model. When using these decals make sure you brush/spray over a coat of Microscale liquid decal film because the decals images are fragile. I have had problems applying the tail decals and can't get them to bed down properly, have tried various things any help appreciated please. Hope you like it, Colin.
