This is my Revell Hurricane in 1/72, this one being in No. 336 (Greek) Squadron, Desert air force, RAF, LG 8 Mersa Matruh, Egypt, 1944. The kit is good, with great surface detail and nice cockpit. Fit of parts is average, with the panel on the bottom of the fuselage and sand filter being the worst. Other than that, it's a great little kit. It was airbrushed with tamiya acrylics, weathered with tamiya acrylics and humbrol enamels. (Ask if you want to know details) To some it may be over-weathered, but I'm not too fussy I would hav liked to make it more dusty, but I'll live with it for now You'll probably notice that one of the cannon flash marks is a bit crooked, and the canopy frames may be in the wrong place, but this is my first time ever (I know ) masking a canopy!!! Enough of my yapping, on with the pictures! Hope you like it (Sorry about the pictures... it was cloudy for once!! But WOOHOOO! [You will by now know I'm not a Brit, but I am a modeller..... ]) Oh yeah... base was wood, ground cover was sand, water, PVA glue, and Humbrol 93 acrylic paint.... Thanks for looking!!

I know that this question had been asked in the past, but unfortunately all the old posts don't show the pictures anymore which Edgar attached in the past. Anyway, I am looking for information of the attachment points of the lap straps in the Hurricane and Spitfire BoB era aircraft. Are they attached to the seat or the cockpit framework? And where / how? There is lots of information how the shoulder straps are attached, but I can't find any pictures showing the lap straps attachments as they are out of sight on all the pictures I have seen. Any information is much appreciated. Cheers, Peter
