F-16A, USAF s/n 79-0402, was operated by the Ogden Air Logistics Center (OO-ALC) at Hill AFB in the 1980s. The aircraft wore the typical OO-ALC white and red scheme. It also carried the name 'Little Precious'. But first, she was the subject of climatic testing in the McKinley Hangar at Eglin AFB. McKinley is a very large hangar fitted out with equipment to simulate extreme weather conditions to evaluate how an aircraft and its systems hold up in various climates. Here she is, before getting her red high-conspicuity markings in the hangar. View from the hangar's observation station... That trunking on the exhaust nozzle is for running the engine during the evaluation, running the exhaust to the outside. And viewed from the hangar floor. That's freezing fog with snow on the floor... As operated by OO-ALC... Some details... OO-ALC paint shop marking on right side beneath the horizontal tail Thanks for looking, Sven

Hi all, picked this kit up for a bargain £4.99 (Front windscreen damage) from Mr model and added Two Bobs Decals. Apart from the damage it made up into a decent 105. Brian.
