Here’s one I built earlier 🤪. I remember building this kit as a kid. Never painted it but as a kid you didn’t care with Matchbox’s multi coloured plastic. Fast forward 30+ years and a guy at work gives me a large box with kits he say he will never build, this kit was right on the top. So, first thing as I went through the kit, the rear cockpit canopy was not formed properly meaning only half of it was there. No contacting Matchbox for a replacement 🤦♂️. A little interweb search for a solution and I did my first ever plastic coke bottle repair.

Hi all, I've been doing some research into tinting canopies, I have a Kinetic EA-6 Prowler and want to model it with a tinted effect of yellow/gold. Looking on the tinterweb it would seem in the good old days, you could add Tamiya clear colour to Kleer. Seeing as Kleer has hit the rails these days, does anyone have an alternative? Ive done a few test bits with neat clear yellow brush painted to an old canopy, not that good, a little intense. I then tried thinned, with Tamiya thinner, Tamiya clear yellow spayed on, it went obaque. Ideas welcome, may be another brand of clear yellow? Cheers the Woo.

I am going to have a go at building something in larger scales than my usual 1:144 scale, but want to practice on something cheap and cheerful first. I had this 1:72 scale kit of a Grumman EA-6 Prowler in the stash and will try it as a starter. I don't know the producer of this kit and got to wondering what the history is and who the original producer was. Any ideas? cheers Mike
