  2. The Ju 88 was really the workhorse of the Luftwaffe. In the role of night-fighter he was very efficient and became the mount of many aces. The model was done some time ago and I did spend a lot of time on the wings where not a single panel line is correct and where not a single hatch is of the correct shape and in the right position! The camo is of the reverse mottling type with large blotches and shows the plane on Major Paul Zorner Gruppenkommandeur of II/NJG 100, late 44. 9A90DCFB-AE48-4D5A-A6EC-A6591B7BB201 by jean Barby, sur Flickr 9BB65CE0-07BF-471E-A901-DDCDF3AFD300 by jean Barby, sur Flickr 2C1B39DF-8EE5-4258-BF1C-7C6921D5BF3C by jean Barby, sur Flickr 4A532878-617C-45E2-AF73-37305A221163 by jean Barby, sur Flickr BDDBA879-0E07-43AF-A5F9-F69BA083C928 by jean Barby, sur Flickr E1CE1547-22F6-4D69-A691-5A5FACFC3B97 by jean Barby, sur Flickr 656E3AAC-69C9-416E-AE63-446BE7DBAD2B by jean Barby, sur Flickr 360C1421-E795-4930-BA2E-FE21645836C6 by jean Barby, sur Flickr C8FA4DF3-61D5-4613-9697-5CEB608016ED by jean Barby, sur Flickr 90DDF954-E798-4AFC-8E47-1BFE12A42E98 by jean Barby, sur Flickr 7DD7C2D8-3E0E-48E6-A17B-B3C505BAE3F5 by jean Barby, sur Flickr 06B143D9-DC78-405B-8CC1-15DF90114563 by jean Barby, sur Flickr

  6. Hi there, This is my latest project finished only yesterday of a Falschirmjaeger artillery unit in Russia. The kits for the PAK 38 and the 9 figures are from Dragon Models 6118 and 6157. I've used a few accessories from the spares box. The empty shell boxes and the bandoliers on the MG42 gunner are etch pieces from Griffon Models (very nice kits but equally very fiddly) and the empty shell cases are Evergreen rod (EG212 - 2mm dia.) cut to length with one end drilled out with a pin vice. Gun slings are all made from lead foil. The diorama is all scratch built using balsa wood and coffee stirers for the retaining wall and the ground base for the PAK 38 to sit on. I also used two of Deluxe Materials for the first time being the Solid Water and the Scenic Snow and I was impressed with both. All set in a picture frame bought from a Swedish furniture maker....I'll leave you to guess who! The idea was to have a layer of snow just to emphasise that it's cold but to have a muddy area around the gun where the ground would be unsettled and most of the activity would be. All in all, I've learnt many new techniques (that includes posting on Britmodeller too) and thoroughlly enjoyed the build from start to finish. On to the next one...... Any feedback and tips welcome.
