I got around to building this blast from the past....
Some serious issues with the kit. Having done the revell kit, and the Kittyhawk single seater in 1/48, the inaccurate and inadequate parts were obvious.
I tried to address some of them, and with a decent clear stand supplied in the box, I decided to go for wheels up.
I managed to get 6 pictures outdoors before a random gust tipped her over on the pilot tube! I'll stretch another one (No idea where the piece went..... parallel universe, maybe?)
But I've got a big question, I'll ask after the pictures......
The thing is, about the photo recon. attachment up front.
It came as an option in the kit for a USAF camo RF101B.
My sparse info suggests that the Canadian planes went back to US for updates and conversion. So, the USAF got some, at least for the national guard, BUT....
Did any go back to Canada, and if so, did they get painted?
Or fly for a while in nmf?
I have the replacement panel, and I'm considering retro fitting the original nose for a CF101B, but no ordnance, the underside between the strakes is completely blank.
Any feedback, comments, historical information and suggestions would be most welcome.
It's not a great build, but it is mine and I ought to give it a decent go!
