It's no longer the 13th for me here in The antipodes. Nevertheless, it is for those in the countries in the skies of which this military operation took place. The operation in question was 'Adlertag', "Eagle Day". The intended destruction of the British Royal Air Force by the Luftwaffe. I wondered if this day has been remembered by e.g. U.K. or German media? If you have any links to articles written today about this, or any views on the history and legacy of Adlertag, please share them. To me, the outcome was one of Britains finest moments, yet an outcome quite influenced by German communication blunders. There are many other fascinating factors involved. A good day to remember The Few. Best regards TonyT PS: For those unfamiliar with the events of the day, here is the Wikipedia entry: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adlertag
