  1. In an effort to improve their aircraft collection, the MNA's most recent restoration effort has focused on the combat battered Douglas A-4C Skyhawk. The below photo, pre-restoration, was taken by me in 2021. The camouflage here appears to be off-white/light grey and the green version of olive drab. Coded C-322, the aircraft was assigned to the IVth Air Brigade in 1976, and assigned to the Vth Air Brigade in 1983. AMILARG shows no record of this aircraft participating in the South Atlantic War of 1982. This photo was taken from the MNA's Facebook page. Unlike C-322, the restored aircraft will carry full 1982 ID bands. The camouflage was also changed to off-white/light grey with the brown version of olive drab. The aircraft is still storaged. I'll post a photo showing the finished restoration once it's published in the MNA's Facebook page.
  2. Hi guys. Ive spent a fair while searching for review photos of sprues as well as Google images and also tried the Hasegawa page on Scalemates that lists sprues for Phantoms etc etc and Ive drawn a blank. Basically... Are the correct nose parts to build an A-4B or A-4C in any of the other boxings? I ask as Id like a few Argentinian aircraft from the Falklands period, a Skyhawk being one, but Im not paying £100 for a different nose and some stickers that are likely not that great. If Ive got it right, then the sprues would be marked "K" and "L" for the B and C variants, that much I think I have gotten right. Yep, i know about the spine antenna, easy enough to scratch build something close and then some aftermarket decals... job done. Alternatively.... is the Hobbycraft kit any use? Ive never hand one of their kits my hand. Id love a Skyhawk in these colours/markings, but its proving a little more tricky than I first imagined and I dont really have much love for Mirages, sadly. As ever, any help is much appreciated. Rob
  3. It's been a while since I finished something, so I am happy that I have now put the finishing touches to my Hasegawa 1/48 A-4C Skyhawk. Hasegawa kit, Pavla early Escapac seat and Victory decals. Jens
  4. Hi, This is my A-4C Skyhawk from Fuerza Aerea Argentina - grupo 4. Model is Hasegawa. The scene takes place on june 8th, 1982 on San Julian airfield just before departure for attacking RFA Sir Galahad already damaged. The plane raises the HMS Invinsible mark, and is loaded with three BRP 250 with drag chute. Enjoy ! Thanks for looking, Nicolas
  5. This is the second of my non-adversary A-4 Skyhawks (the first being an A-4M). It is the Hasegawa 1/48 kit, and the decals are from a Victory Productions sheet. Jens
