My father was the group adjutant for the 8th when they were at Suwon (K-13) and afterwards when they returned to Itazuke AB. I am unashamedly biased, but the 8th FBG Sabres were the prettiest, with the checkerboard tails 51st FIW F-86's coming in a close second. I just stumbled upon this great site with its outstanding color video of the men and machines of the 36th FS. Note the multi-colored Sabre of the 1st C.O. Walter Benz, 'The Dirty Old Man' who was followed by Woodrow Wilmot, whose Sabre was the much-photographed 'Miss Teena.' I hope you enjoy the video- lots of good modeling possibilities here, and great reference shots for getting the many different metal tones correct on an F-86F.
