Hi folk's time for another oldie,I have a soft spot for the F-84 just finished a pair of Airfix kits and while doing the rounds on E-bay saw this bigger kit for £10 took a punt and got it.All present and correct from a seller I often buy from the decals are showing their age but a few days on the windowsill should bleach out the white serials which were the only concern,at present I'm thinking the Belgian scheme. Here's the Airfix pair.

1/48 spitfires first and last eduard 1/48 Early spitfire. Built OOB, lovely kit, but the decals are abit of a let down. Built as K9797 11th production aircraft built, 19 squadron, crashed april 1939. Airfix 1/48 Spitfire F24, cockpit detailed using left over eduard parts, eduard etched and some scatchbuilding. quickboost uppercowl and exhusts, quickboost prop and spinner and barracuda studios carburator intake. decals from the box and where very nice, found a couple of photos of this aircraft so 'weathered' it to match. Built as VN318, Hong Kong auxiliary air force, crash landed april 1955. thanks for looking

Now that I've finished a Group Build Corsair and waiting on parts to print for my other current build got me to thinking what to build next( I know that's hazardous)? So I came up with something in the same vein as the Corsair.... AZ Model's Kawasaki KI-48-I Type 99 "Sokei" Lily WiITH! KI-148 I-GO-1 Missile and trolley. Might as well admit up front, this will not be an OOB build I'm going to see what and how much I can stuff into this little plane. So if you feel like tagging along Welcome aboard! The bar is open and comfey seating abounds. As always all comments, suggestions, kibitzing and general catcalls and mayhem are welcome. So without further ado lets get this party started, shall we? -

Hi All- It's the new tool Airfix 1/48 scale Vb. I was looking forward to this build alot but it turned into a bit of a 'mare... I used Montex masks for the first time, and it turns out I'm not clever enough to operate them... I had seperate 3 attempts, and made a right mess of the paintwork. The u/c legs didn't work for me at all, in the end I was flailing, more or less just throwing glue at the model...lol. I was still gluing the port leg back on for the millionth time during the photos, despite using a whole can of Foul Language..ah well, lessons learned.. "Corporal! ... you know the regs on parking 1/48 aircraft in the 1/72 maintenance sheds!" Thanks for watching, Dave
