  1. Yes i do market the B170 Mk31 conversion kit, the Airfix kit, and a decal of your choice as a Combo. I do all the schemes for the B170 in NZ service. The conversion kit is also available in UK from S&M Models - both individually and as a Airfix kit - conversion set combo with a UK decal. The RNZAF B170s that entered Vietnam were based in Singapore, the C130s in New Zealand. A bit of historical background - NZ7001 was the H prototype being converted on the production line. When the NZ Ministry of Defence pulled her apart earlier this decade for her SLEP we found she is actually an E - H hybrid with a host on non - visible differences from 02 and 03. John
  2. XVTonker - the availability is it will be released at TELFORD (UK) and Karapiro (NZ) on sat 8 Nov. The screen shot from my website is for pre-show (Karapiro) orders only. Oldmodels Decals
  3. Test shot now on my website under kit-decal combos. John www.oldmodelsdecals.com
  4. sloegin57 - I have been informed the kit contains upright undercarriage legs only. Jabba - 115 Sqn scheme unlikely unless S&M commissions this from me for a later production run. General update - decals and white metal done, resin in production. On track for release at both shows. Test shot on its way to me - when I get it I'll post a pic on my website. John www.oldmodelsdecals.com
  5. Kiwi Resins do a Vega Gull and two versions of the Mew Gull. Someone mentioned the Auster J - this didn't make it. They also do the PAC CT-4 - the prototype and a number of older versions are in private and aeroclub use. Khee Kha do the Cessna 180/185. John
  6. I haven't seen the white metal parts yet.
  7. To reply to the posts above. 1. The UK pricing will be set by S&M Models and he hasn't told Mel the wholesale price yet. I suspect he is a month or so away from knowing the full costs of the various components. 2. You are correct the Andover fuselage is larger and many other parts different. Then there are the white metal differences - notably the main undercarriage. I have a jpeg of the resin parts that are different from the 748 but can't work out how to add it here - the image thing seems to want a url not a jpeg and trying to "paste" it here doesn't work either - not a friendly system. It remains to be seen how much these differences will cost. I am hoping it will stay the same as the cost of importing heavy resin and metal kits into NZ including Customs duty effectively doubles the retail prices you are quoting. 3. The decal sets provided by me are fully detailed (i.e. ALL the external stencil markings are included) and therefore larger than the simple Dan Air scheme of the 748. 4. By "Middle East" scheme I am referring to the paint scheme that was also used in UK. 46 and 84 Sqn markings and RAF Base Abbingdon badge are included, letters and numerals to allow you to make the serial number of any RAF Andover, and all the titling options (RAF Tpt Cmd, RAF Air Spt Cmd and plain RAF). This is a comprehensive half A4 sized very full sheet. 5. The first four RNZAF schemes (Delivery (essentially the RAF scheme), SEA, Euro1 and UN (the RNZAF did 2 UN deployments using Andovers)) are a third of a full sheet in size, the VIP scheme is a full sheet. Therefore you should expect price differences for the three sheet sizes. Hope this helps. John www.oldmodelsdecals.com
  8. The 1/72 S&M Models Andover C1 will be released simultaneously at SWM at Telford, UK, by S&M Models and at the Armistice Show at Karapiro, Cambridge NZ, by Oldmodels Decals also 8-9 Nov 14. The kit and decals are now in production mode. The decals for the UK release will be RAF Middle East scheme with all titling and both Sqn options, in NZ it will be sold without decals. At both locations RNZAF (all 5 schemes), and in NZ the RAF Middle East scheme, decals from Oldmodels Decals will be available. John OMD
  9. The above entries, especially that by Marcus, tells it pretty much as it is. The Mavericks will not be used on the G(I)s though as those aircraft do not have the software to integrate them. It was cheaper to buy the ex-RAN Penguin stock than pay for the software development and trials to integrate the Maverick. Oldmodels Decals does the SH-2G(NZ) currently. I intend to release the SH-2F decal set in 3-4 weeks time. There are significant differences including roundel size, titling, reg nos, and Squadron badge and motif (they were operated by 3 Sqn, the current birds by 6 Sqn). The small detail stenciling is the same being applied by Kaman and more or less an exact copy of the USN stenciling. The RNZN/RNZAF operated four old -2Fs as an interim measure. These had little warlike capability and were mainly used in an utility role but were invaluable for moving the crews from Wasp to SH-2 and integrating them with the LEANDER and later ANZAC class frigates. One -2F saw service in the Timor troubles firstly aboard HMNZS Canterbury (F421 not the current L421) then ashore where its greater lift capability over the UH-1s was appreciated. When the Is arrive I will look at what I need to produce an altered set for those birds. John OMD
  10. If you search Hannant's site you will see there is a kit available in both those scales. (Sangar / Annigrad respectively).
