  2. Now that's a thought, and it's in the same livery too....................Well spotted Rodders.....................
  3. Yer on, hope you have enough Miliput..................
  4. Looks like a great start, always nice to see a Swordfish build.....................Quite a surprise too as that is my head just sticking up above the 'A' frame ladder....................Smudge
  5. That's starting to look good, I think you did the right thing removing the seats, made it far easier to paint..................By the way the tube thing up the side of the "Broom" cupboard is the 'P' tube.............It has a chrome/stainless lidded top to it...................Smudge
  6. Thanks Jabba, i didn't know about that version, does it not use the same sprues??..................... The Begemot decals have arrived from Russia, and what a set, there must be 30 versions on it, I would need a big house to make most if not all the airframes provided............... I'm glad to note that 2 aircraft are included in the scheme I would like to do.................. Also in the post this morning.................. So I can make a start on it soon.....................Watch this space!!............................Smudge
  7. Thanks for the welcome chaps, yep it sure is large for the scale, and it has loads n loads of rotor blades too,(well 8 actually)............. About six foot................... Not too sure but probably RA-06291 of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.............. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&ved=0ahUKEwiZv6zY3cXLAhVGExoKHZD8BawQjhwIBQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fhelicomontagne.fr%2Freportage%2FindexEN.html&psig=AFQjCNGN1z1-hlO_KBhjsM3_dsHFMpCTeg&ust=1458235749945509 Smudge
  8. A bit late on the scene but here I am with a "Beastie" of a chopper to take part................ The obligatory parts view........................ I have a set of Begemot decals winging their way from Russia and some Eduard external detailing too.............. Smudge
  9. Can I "autorotate" late into this one please, I would like to build a Zvezda Mil-26 in 1/72.................. Smudge
  10. The Graf Zeppelin was launched on the 8th December 1938 and was over 85% complete when work was stopped in 1943..Scuttled at Stettin in 1945....The Russians re-floated her in 1946 and started to tow it back to Russia, but then sank it on route...............The wreck was found in 2006 off Poland.............Smudge
  11. Hiya Dave, hope this will help.............I used Wickes outdoor filler over ceiling tile for my Sherman GB base and just painted straight over the top, it does soak in a bit but that can be a plus................. I used Humbrol enamel for all the groundwork and it goes on nicely, I used Elmers (PVA) for the foliage etc....................Smudge
  12. It seems daunting when you look at the thing as a whole model, but when you break it down into a series of small models that come together to form the ship it ain't so bad.................Smudge
  13. Hi Richard, I built a 128th scale Graf Spee about 20 years ago using a 1/200 paper kit and once I got my head around the sizing it worked a treat...................The superstructure was very easy with only a couple of niggles, like whether to fold or cut particularly the control tower & turrets................I used a Fleetscale hull with a GPM card kit, you sure use a lot of Plasti-card though...................It may sound obvious as well but you have to ensure your re-sizing is correct at all times as it can and does cause headaches,(been there, done that)..............Smudge
