  1. Great looking Mustang. Nice weathering. You have couple mistakes though: -The Eight Air Force Mustangs did not have the antenna wire -The landing gear doors are reversed -The canopy position like Wojtek2 told The Eduard apparently has screwed the tail wheel position. It sits too low. The fully castering wheel would hit the landing gear doors. I hope you don't mind me pointing these out
  2. See here. I have added the red line following the dorsal fillet. Compare it to Tamiya's dorsal fillet. And Brett Green's Meng model is different on this part.
  3. Very nice build. The only thing that makes me scratch my head is the shape of the dorsal fin on your model. In Brett Green's build it is different and correct when compared to the real thing: http://www.hyperscale.com/2016/features/mengp51d48constrbg_1.htm Where does this difference come from?
  4. Here is a link to an article about Airfix/Eduard models marriage to an Mk.XII http://scalemodels.ru/articles/9192-konversija-Eduard-1-48-Spitfire-Mk-XII.html
  5. Indeed nice model. But it is not Latvian,It is Estonian
  6. One point. There was no Amorous Len named Mustang. You should look for separate GLs and Gs on your decal sheet. You can find them where it says bonus. The decal manufacturer has done it like that to avoid any lawsuits
  7. Yes it is.Revell has along with that A-4 a C-6 night fighter and both are Dragon tooling. BTW unlike it was mentioned in the third post Dragon does not have a A-5 version. You need a MDC resin conversion to make that.
  8. You have done a nice job! There are couple of things wrong on your model, but they are easy to fix. The propeller blades shouldn't protrude out of the spinner. ie the axles should not be visible. The landing gear doors are wrong way around. Not too unfamiliar sight on P-51 models
  9. For MT-208 I can tell that on 16th of April 1943 it swung on take off and the landing gear collapsed. It spent over a year at the State Aircraft Factory and was delivered to 2/HLeLv 24 on 28th of June 1944. It survived the war but on 1st of August 1946 it made a forced landing into the sea.In a year 2000 or 2001 it was raised and preserved. It does have a bulged wings, but I would rather think that it got them when repaired from the take off accident.
  10. The first patch of 16 planes(got the serials MT-201-MT-216)were factory new.The next patch of 14 planes were recycled machines(MT-217-MT-230) .Additionally we had a deal with Germany that we could buy a new plane for each destroyed one.So we got another 18 machines of G-2s as well(MT-231-248).
  11. Next time you are making a P-51 model, notice that the large national insignia goes to the wings and small ones goes to the fuselage.I hope you don't mind
  12. Very nice! Some misplaced decals, but what the heck
  13. These previous mission shrapnel repairs were interesting on the Mosemyra Il-2. Inside the bomb bay the plywood was painted silver. The bomb bay doors were also plywood
  14. The hatch I have is brown. On the inside the primer it is akin to Olive Drab. Now Im not actually sure if it is from the Gerdujavri il-2. On the inner surface the primer is only applied to the edges where there are rivets.See the photo. There is a serial number on the Pinemyra ammunition box.The photo is below. Here is photo of gear bay on the Mosemyra Il-2 Underside blue Gerdujavri cockpit. The steel has always on these Il-2 wrecks lost all the paint. Notice the Alclad text on the aluminium. Some Lend Lease help On the outer skin as well The ammo box
