  1. I'll let others who have more knowledge than me discuss the correctness of the equipment loadout carried by the figures & MWD (Military Working Dog), so I won’t comment on that. However, as a volunteer who has a Belgian Malinois such as this one that is owned & payed for by a major military organisation currently in my backyard under foster care (refer the profile pic), it fills me tremendous pride to see manufacturers taking notice of the incredible role these animals fill in the modern military environment.
  2. Steve Evans is Ronin Graphics & he does some really beautiful decals, including a 1/72 RAAF C-27J. It is also correct that he only does small batches & once they're gone, unless there's a re-print, there gone. Also, he sells his decals exclusively through his eBay store. You can also keep up to date with his decal releases either via Facebook or hie eBay shop. https://www.facebook.com/Ronin-Graphics-Australia-570533299733906/?fref=ts http://stores.ebay.com.au/roningraphicsaus?_rdc=1 Quick edit... If you look at Steve's Facebook page & scroll down to his post on 10th September 2015, you'll see the decals you're looking for.
  3. I received a reply from the store last night explaining that they're more than happy to sell & ship a kit to Australia. Happy days... However, their online store seems to have an error when accepting the terms & conditions at check-out when the additional postage is required at the last stage before payment. Furthermore, they have stipulated which countries they sell to in their eBay setup (possibly set by default), which will not allow me to purchase this way either. I've asked them to adjust their geographic exclusion on eBay so I can purchase that way. On eBay, I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of checking a box labelled "Australia" or "Oceania" or something & submitting the change. Hopefully it will sort itself out sooner or later...
  4. Does anyone know how I can get hold of this kit if I'm outside the EU or UK? I'm in Australia & although I can create an account on the Bassin Maquette site, I'm not able to complete an order because of my location. eBay is a no-go as well as I'm not able to complete a purchase (once again) because of my location. I've emailed the shop through eBay to ask if they can give me an excemption but so far, no responses...
  5. Hi all, I'm scouring the interwebs for scale plans for a Q400 Series DHC-8 but can't locate anything. Would anyone have a link or something saved that they could share with me? I've got several of the Hobbycraft 1/72nd scale kits & am itching to build a Qantaslink Q400 but would like to know what I'm getting myself in for before I commit. Cheers, Ian
  6. What 2 AKAN colours did you end up using for the camouflage Ken? I'm looking at having a go with the acrylics as well for the same build & am wondering...
  7. You can definitely put me down for a copy as well! I'm looking at a good stash of the 1/72 High Planes CA-27 Sabre & your reference material looks invaluable.
  8. Hi again Mick, I'm at Rochedale South on the southside but am out at Amberley every couple of weeks for training with the dog, hence the observations of the grey, noisy things continually passing overhead.
  9. Good work Mick, thanks for the extra info. I'm keeping an eye on your build as I've got a pretty large stash of Hasegawa F-111C's & am still really quite afraid of the early camouflage scheme. I can't paint them all 36118 either! I do miss seeing the old buses out at Amberley. The Hornets just aren’t the same. When I'm out there training with our MWD (refer avatar at left) they’re always in the circuit at about 500ft over the dog unit rattling the windows every 30 seconds…
  10. Your camouflage edges look like they’re spot on. What technique did you use? Blu-tak? Paper masks? Free hand???
  11. Don't be suprised if the additional F/A-18F & EA-18G decision is a bit closer than you think. Judging by the infra-stucture & facilities that I am currently tendering for RAAF Williamtown (all of which are identical to the facilities that I've just finished at RAAF Amberley), I think the decision has already been made...
