Hi girls & boys, first off, not sure about the right location for this question. so admins feel free to move:
I will be starting modelling again, soon after a 30 year absence. the last kit built was 1994. when i left i was still using humbrol enamels, revell and xtracolour paints. humbrol, revell and xtracrylics were only just coming out back then, so i had few. i did also have a few tamiya, but rarely used them.
now looking at tooling up to start again, i've been buying up kits. and tools. but i have got to start buying paints for my projects. but there are sooooooo many brands out there now.
i've never airbrushed. and not sure i want to go down that road, unless maybe to prime, gloss, and matt an overall finished project.
Who's paints should i be looking at and why, do any of them cater to scale effect right out of the bottle.? they may be true to life to the real thing. but on 48-32nd may seem too dark.
