  1. I'm unsure which squadrons fallmonk but yes, they did serve in Africa

    me too, lack of time
  4. I've got their 1/48 Wellington in the stash (got cheap off ebay coz I couldn't afford the Trumpy), not looked at it yet but after 1/32 ID and Combat vacs which I've built a few of, surely it can't be any more of a problem..... can it?
  5. Love to see a nice 'Jukebox on Wheels!'
  6. I don't know about the Airfix Lanc but, I called in my local Sainsburys on the way home from work tonight to pick up a bottle of Lancaster Bomber and.......... they'd sold out!
  7. Matt, leave the canopy to soak in Klear overnight and that will strip the Klear off. Wipe it clean with a soft dry cloth. Instead of dipping clear parts, I use a soft brush to paint the Klear on. Then mask and paint the frame. If you muck the painting up and get paint on the canopy, just soak the part overnight again and the Klear will strip the old coat off along with the paint. HTH
  8. Wht torture to us who would love but never be able to afford our dream...... and, I know how i would display it in my small house!
  9. thanks mate, that was what i was thinking
  10. Hi folks, just a quick question.Would I be right in thinking that the inside of the engine bay would be chromate or, would it be bronze/green? Or maybe some other colour? TIA Pez
  11. Very nice indeed, well done, its not just a model, it's a picture!
  12. I've built both the 1/48 and 1/32 Hobbycraft Sea Furys and think they are both respectable kits and go together well. Yes, they need slight work on them to correct minor shape issues but nothing someone armed with 'something for sanding' and minimal scratchbuilding skills to add missing detail can't put right. They can both be obtained at minimal price and build with minimal effort into replicas to be proud of.
  13. Fantastic work thus far Andy, I always enjoy watching a good vac build! Pez
  14. nope coated in superglue, primer and whatever colours i'm using lol
  15. I use rattle can acrylics and have no problem but, I can't use acrylics in my airbrush, I'm useless at spraying them. So I have a box full of enamels for airbrushing and a casefull of rattlecan acrylics............ :/
  16. very nice indeed, just finishing converting mine to a Searfire 47, all done, just bought a set of turned gun barrels and then the camera ports to get sorted now
