  1. No underwing stores? I've just visited this website https://www.flying-tigers.co.uk/2017/grumman-f9f-panther-latest-hobbymaster-century-wings-inflight-200-announcements/ where one can clearly see the underwing armament...
  2. My Modelsvit kit is in the mail and somewhere between Hannants en here in Belgium. It was funny to read in my Observers Book of Aircraft 1963 that the Flipper 'was entering squadron service'...but it was impressive in those days when I read about it as a teenager. Thanks for all the modelling tips which make me really want to start building this Ye-152A. Bill
  3. Dear Root Admin, When you state that following the Luftwaffe's experiences with the single engine Starfighter, which claimed the lives of a significant number of inexperienced pilots I guess you're wrong in stating that the Luftwaffe only wanted dual engined aircraft in the future. The problem with the F-104 is an entirely different question which has nothing to do with the number of engines but with the total lack of experience within the Luftwaffe when the 104 came into service. Proportionally, in Belgium we lost more F-104's than the Germans! I've been flying the Alpha Jet for about 5 years and I'm planning to make a thorough comparison between this kit and the PJ-production one. I'll keep Britmodeller informed of the results as the tail of the Kinetic kit definitely seems to narrow...wait and see! regards, Bill
  4. I've noticed that the white shade in the varnish is usually due to too much humidity in the air. Spaying with less than 50 % relative humidity is best. Otherwise a nice build. Makes to want to start mine as well!
  5. Who says the chain is tied to the Walrus?
  6. I've already got the PJ Alpha Jet which is great but I guess when I actually get to build one, it'll be a mixture of this kit and the PJ one. As I've been flying this great little jet for 500 hours I really look forward to have a closer look at the Kinetic model. Bill
  7. Thanks a lot! I've just ordered them with Iliad in Canada. Regards, Billter
  8. You also could try it the other way round: spray the frame colour on a piece of blank decal sheet, let dry and cut out strip lenghths before soaking in water. I've tried it with a Bf 110 night fighter with good results. Good luck! Billter
  9. I'm happily married to my Annie and would like to build colonel Rau's 'Gentle Annie' in 1/72 scale. Some intensive browsing on the internet didn't reveal any available decals. Can anyone help please? Or should I print the lettering myself on a clear decal sheet? Regards, Billter
  10. Dear Selwyn, I know the photograph you're referring to, it was during a military pilot's meet at Beauvechain, nothing to do with flying F-104's. Most pictures were taken by re-grouping former and actual pilots in their first affected squadron. Sadly, Piet D'haeseleer left us 20 years ago.. Best regards, Bill
  11. Dear Selwyn, I flew Mirages 5BR in the belgian air force during the early seventies. I'd like to add a decent (but black & white) photograph of the early nose but can't find the way to do it on this forum. During the Gulf War and afterwards, it looked different because of the addition of a panoramic camera photos of which can be found on BAHA's web site: BAHA Please feel free to ask for more information! Best regards, Bill
