I think I earned my gold spotters badge today. In my kitchen when I heard the drone of a turboprop above. "That sounds like an Antonov!" I declare, never having seen or heard one before. Check Plane finder and sure enough it's an AN12! Even the wife was a little, begrudgingly, impressed!

I was there Saturday. The rain coming down just as the Reds finished was a pain but we were lucky it held off as long as it did. Shame the Chinook couldn't make it. My lads would have liked that. As it was my 3 year old was terrified by the Typhoon which started just as he was having a wee. Messy! He loved the reds though. Good ground presence by the RAF. Got a chance to see how the Typhoon flying kit has developed since I worked on it nearly twenty years ago!

I use the Plane Finder app. It's positively brimming with military stuff today. Seafire, Hawks, A400M, Hercs, Voyagers, a Tonka and an eagle. Not to mention the Qinetic Alpha jet and FR Falcon.

I'm an ignorant newbie. How do you achieve the soft edges with a brush?

I had a trip in that Phantom in Cyprus in '88! Nice to see it in model form. I got the Hasegawa kit hoping to do it myself but to date I haven't managed.

I've just spent ten minutes searching this thread out so I could see how you fared at Telford. Now I'm wondering why I bothered. The result was obvious. Well done and once again, incredible build.
