  1. I am truly stunned by this thread. Just because it's in an unlinked image folder on their website doesn't mean it's 'publicly available'! Sorry, but in my opinion the mods should have shut this down right away. Just my 2p. Rob
  2. Well over 100 test firings at Woomera apparently against Jindavik drones: http://www.flightglobal.com/.../1958/1958-1-%20-%200708.PDF Doubt they were all 1g straight and level either.
  3. Be advised that Southport Airshow is only happening tomorrow (Saturday 14th Sep). Sunday has been cancelled due to a Met Office Weather Warning of high winds. Press release here: http://www.visitsouthport.com/dbimgs/Cancellation%20press%20release.pdf Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I thought it best to share to avoid disappointment. Please pass this on as required. Cheers, Rob
  4. The instrument panels are for a Mk.115 (2 MFD's). Are you making the cockpit analogue for a Mk.108? Cheers, Rob
  5. Paul Regan is currently the man to talk to. Cheers, Rob
  6. The only thing you'll need to add are the 2 small air data probes either side of the nose, some external aerials (check photos of RAF T.2's) and the extra landing light on the nose gear door. Cheers, Rob
  7. For an RAF T.2, the only external stores carried are wingtip AIM-9 Captive Air Training Missiles (finless Sidewinder training rounds). The aircraft may also be fitted with a centerline baggage pod/fuel tank as role equipment. Underwing pylons are not generally fitted. Overseas customers have a range of external stores applicable including Mk.82 Low Drag, High Drag and Snakeye dumb bombs, GBU-12 LGBs, centreline gunpod, Maverick etc. AIM-9L/M Sidewinders Vympel R-60 (AA8 Aphid) and Matra Magic AAMs are also applicable to Hawk. Iris is not cleared on Hawk (to my knowledge). Can't go into customer specific loadouts of tactical stores for obvious reasons, but a google of images for various marks should give you a good idea of who uses what! For example... Cheers, Rob
  8. Hi Armando, The late Italeri kit has advantages/disadvantages over the Airfix one. The main differences are: The previously mentioned underscale outer undercarriage door problem on the Airfix kit (the italeri kit is better in this respect) The shape of the rear fuselage is not great on the Italeri kit, although several replacement rear fuselages are available to correct it (Airframe resin is one, available from Hannants). Mind you this is an expensive and time consuming option (not to mention a bit of a faff)! The Airfix Hawk 100 Series kit has a more accurate representation of the 7 station wing and a much better rear fuselage shape. Replacement decals for a RAAF Mk.127 are available from either Red Roo Decals in Australia or Model Alliance in the UK (company out of business but the decals are still available out there). http://www.hannants....product/ML72112 That sheet also has a Canadian Mk.115 option. A SAAF Mk.120 is also available on another of the Model Alliance sheets, http://www.hannants....product/ML72155 Seats for all are similar Martin Baker Mk.10LH models, with some differences in paint and strap colours (check references). Personally, to get an accurate Mk.127, I'd buy the Airfix 100 Series kit and use the outer undercarriage doors from the Italeri kit as a quick fix to get the best looking option. Cheers, Rob
  9. Short answer is yes. Cockpit detail is different between marks (128 and 129 have 3 tellys per cockpit, 127 and 120 have 2). Both options are catered for on the decal sheet. Externally, the jets are almost identical, with some variation in aerials (check refs) and the RAF jets have 2 small pitots either side of the nose (not included in the Airfix kit anyway). Other than that you'll need to scab on the navigation lights either side of the intakes and worth noting that the main undercarriage doors are too small. I'm looking into a way to sort this by cutting up the 'closed option' doors. Cheers, Rob M.
  10. The Hase 1/72 RF-4B kit comes with both the thick and thin wings, thus you could source a B wing from that and finish the other as an RF-4C. Cheers, Rob
  11. Hi All, Wondering if anyone can confirm whether an F9F-3 Panther is the same as an F9F-2 Panther just with a different engine? Are there any significant external differences? Cheers, Rob
  12. Same re-tool is in the RAF Benevolent Fund boxing released recently. Cheers, Rob M.
  13. Yep looks like the Heller/Bobkit due to the ferry tips! Nice finish though! Rob
