  1. That plastic is certainly yellow. In fact I'd even say it was YELLOW! The grey primer will be the best way to start this one.
  2. Not going to guarantee the Vampire will get done in this GB, if truth be told I'm not even willing to make promises about the Spitfire 22 far less the 21 conversion I also want to do, as I'm busy with this GB and the Trainer one as well but got a few 602 Sqn. projects planned for this year
  3. This one is looking great Craig. Certainly different from the usual 109s in this scheme. While I don't know about the wheel well colour I'm thinking they would still be RLM 02 if the legs were.
  4. While this may not be the Eduard kit it's certainly scubbing up to look like a MiG-15 John.
  5. Good paintwork on the upper hull Dave. Looks subtly worn but not unkempt.
  6. Ooh, a big yellow bird! This one will certainly add a splash of colour to your display cabinet
  7. Thankfully I have no life and wasn't doing anything else at the time
  8. After a couple hours tinkering last night we have this...
  9. Time I got underway with something for this GB, it's only been going for a month the bench still hasn't been cleared properly but if we're waiting for me to do that it'll likely be another month before I get anything started Right gang, here's the plan, take this lot... as inspiration to do these two... Both will get done as 602 squadron machines but I'll start with the Spitfire Mk.22 as the last of the type they operated and their final piston-engined front-line type before the Vampire were introduced. Here's what comes inside the box... Mostly rather nice apart from a poor representation of the seat but I'm going to replace that with a spare resin one from Pavla... The cockpit has plenty detail as moulded... ...although the instrument panel lets it down somewhat in my opinion...
  10. Hmm, how about this for an alternative; Hitler anexes Austria then takes Poland and Czechosolvakia but rather than then turning his attentions west decides to keep moving east into Russia. Japan seizes the opportunity to revisit Vladivostok and begins moving west. What would the other nations of Western Europe and the US then do?
  11. Now here's a rare bird! Good choice
  12. Right gang, let's check our mirrors, then pull away smoothly into traffic. This GB has officially started What options have you got to choose from?
  13. Looking great Dave Plenty subtle weathering going on there.
  14. Still plenty time left in this GB to get it on the bench and underway Mike
  15. More like seriously organised for this GB! Although by the sounds of it you'd have a job of work to get The Stash this organised
  16. May as well get them both built Enzo. Saves them cluttering up the stash and makes room for some new purchases. Plus they'll look good together in the display cabinet
  17. Interesting choice of subject Enzo. The Buckeye doesn't seem to gain a lot of love and attention from modellers but this one will make for a colourful model.
  18. Think I've already mentioned elsewhere in this GB that the Hawk seems to have worn a succession of cool colourschemes throughout its service life with the RAF and the original scheme is no exception
  19. Better crack on if you're going to get all these built Enzo! At least if all the RAF ones arrive in the paint barn at the same time that'll save you having to clean the airbrush as often as if you were building them separately
  20. Every day's a school day around here I'm sure I've seen Ben Hobby kits in 144th scale as well but could be mistaken. Either way I'm looking forward to seeing how this one goes and what sort of quality the parts are.
  21. Once again you show us a kit I had no idea existed Cliff
  22. That's a good way to put it Giorgio; a continuation with some players swapping sides. Personally I think a Second World War of some form was unavoidable within this period due to the empire-building program many powerful nations were indulging in. There was always going to be a major clash somewhere eventually.
