  1. I’ve never come across a resin kit that was so fragile it couldn’t be sanded (except for a Babylon 5 shadow ship but that a whole different kettle of fish). Highly recommend smeds face mask idea or even sanding outside it reduce dust settling. I usually use Araldite for all my resin sticking (I pre-drill or score the surfaces first for maximum bond but only if the surface is thick enough). Pictures would be nice.
  2. I didn’t know about the live action movie (but I shouldn’t be surprised). There is a Cowboy bebop movie in the works with Keanu Reeves as Spike (worst casting EVER!) and Akira set in New York or something. Leonardo Dicrapio directing. The only thing bringing me any hope is James Cameron will be making Battle Angel Alita after Avatar 2. I CAN’T WAIGHT!
  3. The top circle on the display board is 430mm wide. I think it stands somewhere between 250mm and 300mm high (can’t measure it because it’s in pieces embedded in a king ransom worth of silicon). Thanks for the giggle pigsty
  4. Cheers guys Materials. Plastic card 0.5mm * 1mm * 2mm, car body filler (smooth), medium density polyurethane foam, chemiwood, 4D plastic domes and plastic rod’s. As for the price I have no idea at this stage as I still have to find a resin I like. GPR keeps cracking on me or leaving a very tacky or sticky surface. I think tachikoma's are cute too Again sorry for the flat, unfinished paintwork

  6. Cheers for the welcome. Unfortunately I never had time to finish the paint-job (the balls it stands on didn't even get done). I got to this stage half an hour before the cut-off time so it had to go as is. THE STRESS......THE STREEEEES! It is currently sitting on my work bench in pieces so I can cast up the masters and rebuild in a timely fashion, weathering, custom display base and all the trimmings.
  7. Well, this is my first post after having an extensive look around your excellent site. Loads of awesome work and great paint-jobs that I will be picking peoples brains about later. I hope I put this in the right place (if not please correct me). This was my end of year project for my college course that I have been wanting to build for some time. Paul B should know it as I have seen his jaw-dropping custom R-3000 spider tank. The HAW206 is the main feature of the second episode of the anime Ghost in the Shell, first gig (season 1). There was a kit released a long time back and have only talked to one person who has it (hens teeth) so I thought I would build my own. I made it in 1:24 scale to match the Tachikoma (mini tank) you can buy anywhere on the internet. I am still trying to kit it, may take some time. Just for scale. I’m the sort of person who appreciates constructive criticism, so if you can see any parts or have any ideas on how things can be done better please let me know.
