  1. Very nice. I keep hoping for a newly tooled Sherman with interior, rather than the deluge of late war German tanks we are currently enjoying.
  2. Belated reply; many thanks for, that. Much appreciated.
  3. That looks superb. Up with the best I've seen. Talk us through how you did the weathering!
  4. Cracking finish Kris. If you don't mind me asking, what colours do you use for your stowage? I can never settle on shades I'm happy with.
  5. Agree with Kris. There is no sag in these tracks. Losing a link shouldn't be too difficult.
  6. Suspension isn't too bad to do, but do it one unit at a time. Big piles of bits just makes it confusing!
  7. No problem. I ended up using a spare Tasca sprocket, and mounting, as their kits seem to supply spares of all the different types. Very useful I must say!
  8. Long time lurker on this forum. However, I share your pain, having had the same issue with an Academy Achilles with Panda tracks. The issue is the Academy sprockets, which are too narrow, as are the roadwheels, though this is less noticeable. Panda tracks fit everything else, no problem. ive done three or four sets of these now. A jig is a luxury to be honest. You can assemble them simply link by link. The pins are amazingly resilient; they rarely bend and I've only snapped a couple of them. There are plenty of spares, so it's not the end of the world. I wouldn't use anything else. The Bronco ones are stupidly complex, and the Friuls are just wrong! Nice job so,far. My grant has just risen to close to the top of the pile, complete with lots of etch, Panda tracks, and some natty resin, only to,be usurped by the new Takom kits. Ho hum...
  9. I bought the 'new' Italeri E8, tempted by the stowage options for Fury. If anyone else is so tempted, don't bother. Most of it is as old as I am, dating back to the 1960's, with just a couple of new sprues for the HVSS suspension. Ho hum..
  10. Venom seats are a Mk2F, which are different to other seats of the same mark, and are closer to Hunter seats. It's never easy!
  11. Not unless you build a completely new fuselage. Forward of bulkhead 4, which is the engine bulkhead is different between T11 and everything else.
  12. I didn't make that clear. Sorry. Pod diameter at bulkhead 4 is the same across the range, as is the wing spar spacing. It's a very clever piece of engineering once you stop and work out what each bit does.
  13. Care! Most of the images in the Google link above are Swiss Venoms, which are totally different to their RAF Brethren.
  14. Broadly, there are three types of vampire/venom pod. Single seat is broadly similar across the marks, and dimensionally identical. The first two seat pod evolved somewhat, but all night fighter vampires and the venom NF2 and early Sea Venom used the same basic pod. Later Venom variants used a pod modified to take an upward hinging radome, but the shape behind the front bulkhead is identical to the earlier type. The trainer pod is totally different in every respect to all that went before, being much wider forward of the wing leading edge.
  15. Mark, I stand corrected then. I will ask Ian if he knows when the mod came in. It should be listed in the mod leaflets.
